End-Grain Wood Targets

Lumos Axe Throwing Lanes exclusively use end-grain wood targets for a superior throwing experience.
End-Grain Targets permit axes to "stick" at a variety of angles and last far longer than vertical targets.
The knife demonstration below highlights the difference end-grain targets make in throwing sports.
Tips & Techniques
Our staff will teach you the basics, but if you want to get a head start on your throwing technique, this video from Mario Zelaya will help you start strong.

Can Kids Throw?
There are 2 ways for guests under 18 to participate in Axe Throwing.
Guests between 8-18 may throw real axes if accompanied by their own parent or guardian.
In addition, Lumos offers Soft Target Axe Throwing for children (or anyone else who prefers to use it.)
NOTE: Because Soft Target throwing involves installing a velcro target over the wood target, real axes and soft target tools CANNOT be thrown on the same lane. A group that wants to do both Soft Target and Real Axe Throwing will need 2 lanes.
